FORGED IN FIRE features world-class bladesmiths c ompeting against each other to create s ome of the most iconic edged weapon s from history. In each episode, four of the best blad esmiths in the cou ntry wil l come together to put both their skil ls and reputations on the line. W hether t hey are makin g a Japanese ka tana, a medieval b roadsw ord, or a n ancient throwing blad e like the chakram, the weap ons they forge will be fully functional and lethal works of art and war. The unique histori es contained within each weap on wi ll be c reatively told during the forging process and the final weap ons them selve s will be assessed and ruthlessly te sted by our panel of expert judges. The se dyna mic and exp losive tests will be individually designed to pus h th e weapons to their absolut e limit.
