The second series, Ben Harper, husband and father to three different and often difficult chil dren has spent his working life as a den tist. Just as well a s most of his life seems rather lik e pulling teeth . His wife S usan i s usually busy showing f oreign tourists around Londo n, a place sh e knows much better than her ow n kitchen. Ben and Susan have b een married happily en ough to have three c hildre n. However, B en has the feeling that most of th e time his children se em t o spea k a differen t langu age. Nick (20 ) ha s pers uaded his parents he wou ld benefit from a gap year to se e something of the world. To date, h e has hardl y seen anyt hing beyon d the confines o f the sofa. Janey (17) is in to boys, fa shion lab els (expensive ones) an d getting her own way. Michael (14) is the brightest of the trio.
