In a complex tale of interweaving rel ationships, a Greek immigrant in Londo n explores t he meaning of what it is to love an d heal. Poised follows the story of Aris, a gay Occupational Therapist who c arries the weight of a previous re lation ship gone wrong . Ye t, a chance enc ounter with Rich ard seems to allow him the chanc e to love again. As Aris 9; relation ship with R ichard deepe ns, so too does h is fr iendship wit h Anna, a patien t in his care who suff ers from a rare neurological syn drome that leaves her paral ysed. Anna recov ers t he use of h er limbs, but finds that s he has come to r ely on Aris for much more than jus t his support. In fact, her discovery that her husband has been unfaithful during her illness trig gers the realisation t hat her f eelings for Aris are rom antic.
