Judas, a season ed thief, fi nds himself i n the market square where Chri st is giving a sermon and his apostles are collecting alms. He follow s them and steals th eir mon ey, only to be c aught red-handed. Ne vertheless, the Teacher for gives him. W hat is more, He in vite s th e thief to become o ne of His followers and offers him a position as the group’s treasurer. Shocked by C hrist’s unexpect ed offer , Ju das d ecides to join the apostles, if only to figure out w hat is going on. He grad uall y starts to compre hend Christ’s message, but feel s that t he apostles are blindl y following thei r teacher. Judas argues with them, and t ries to defend his right to di vine the truth of God . But when he fails to make them understa nd, he reali zes that Chris t’s te achings may sink into oblivion without benefiting hu manity.
