Maja, a Danish has-been actress, fal ls in love with Leah, a young, Je wish a cademic from Londo n. But whe n Leah suffers a mysteriou s seizure , leading to a debil itat ing injury, Maja fears thei r wh irlwind ro mance might be cut short – and decides to follow Leah back to her home in the Hasidic area of Sta mford Hill, London.
