The story of the movi e is some what base d on the plo t of the most recent game, S akura Wars 3 , released back in March this y ear. While the g ame features Li eutenant Ohgami, the main character who takes off for Paris, narrates one side of the story, the m ovie unveils the secrets behind Hanagumi. Ohga mi leaves for Pa ris, conse quently leaving Hanagumi without a lead er; thus a new character w ill b e introduced here. To be replaced with Lieutenant Ohgami is the former leader of Hosh igumi, Rac hette Ar tile - a r ationalistic an d distinct individual, who brings abou t serious problems t o Hanagumi. The mem bers a re now in dis cord with Rachette. Mea nwhile, Teikoku Kagekidan w as being threatened by some irrelevant demons and a new type of anti-ko uma mechas, (brought b y an american company) appe ars an d tries to replace the koubu-ka i.
